We primarily provide employment support for Vietnamese international students and former technical trainees.We also provide support to both the employers and the workers applying for Specified Skilled Worker Visa No. 1.

If you fail to find a job, you will lose your residence status and, in principle, be required to return to your home country. Therefore, job hunting is extremely important for foreigners who wish to reside in Japan, and we also provide support such as translating and interpreting employment conditions when matching job seekers with employers.

Application for Status of Residence

For foreigners, a residence status is essential. Therefore, procedures such as changing workplaces, changing addresses, and renewing residence status occur regularly, and we also provide support for these procedures.

 

When changing or renewing a residence status, it is a process that requires careful attention to various requirements to determine whether or not the applicant still meets the requirements for the residence status. This is the most delicate part of the process we provide support for.

Foreign nationals entering the country for the first time often don't know how to use the train system or the local geography. Furthermore, providing transportation allows us to check their health condition.

We make sure that those who haven't eaten get something to eat, and those who look unwell get a nap in the car while we wait for them to recover.

In rare cases, some individuals have lost their residence cards immediately after entering the country. In such cases, they immediately filed a lost property report with the police and went to the local immigration bureau to go through the reissuance process.

Unexpected things can happen, so transportation is an important form of support.

Accompanying administrative offices

Foreign nationals who have recently entered Japan, or those who have moved from other prefectures, will need to go through the procedure to change the address on their residence card.

 

Address registration can be done at the municipal office of your city or town. At this time, you will also be asked about insurance-related procedures, so if you make a mistake in the procedure, you may receive an insurance premium bill later, so you need to be very careful.

Accompanying administrative offices

Newly entering foreigners and those who have moved from other prefectures must go through the procedure of registering as a resident at their local municipal office. At this time, you will also be asked about insurance card procedures, so those who are planning to start a new job or are currently employed will need to inform them that they are already enrolled in social insurance. However, some foreigners do not understand the different types of social insurance and national health insurance, so if you make a mistake in the procedure, you will receive a bill for insurance premiums later, so it is necessary to handle the situation with due consideration.

When international students find employment, they will need to go through the process of switching from national health insurance to social insurance, so we provide advice and interpretation to help them pay their unpaid national health insurance premiums in full by explaining the procedures for exemption and installment payments.

Preparation for joining the company

Depending on their nationality or region, some employees come to work barefoot, so we remind them to wear socks. Please be mindful that both men and women have a habit of going barefoot.

 

Some workplaces provide uniforms, but we are careful because some people get the wrong size based on the size labeling.

 

Jackets and trousers are clearly labeled S, M, and L, but shoe sizes are in centimeters, so we need to check with foreigners who are unfamiliar with the units, using inches instead. Working in ill-fitting work clothes is unsafe, so this is another area we pay close attention to.

 

Often, employees are provided with bicycles for commuting from their workplace, so we explain how to check the parking area and how to lock the bikes. After that, we sometimes explain the route from the dormitory to the workplace using a map, or we walk the route together to confirm it.

Support after joining the company

Foreigners often share their pay stubs with their colleagues, so complaints about wage differences may arise from the first month after receiving their initial paycheck. In most cases, these differences stem from discrepancies in take-home pay due to differences in overtime hours, or from employees misreading the calendar and overreporting their working days.

It may seem like a minor issue, but even a difference of 100 yen can lead to trouble, so it's important to notice it early and patiently explain until the employee is satisfied. If you miss this opportunity and leave it unresolved, it can become irreparable later on, and in many cases it can lead to employees leaving the company shortly after they start working, so we take this into consideration.

Subject to incidents, accidents, and troubles

Businesses that already employ foreign nationals will understand this, but in the case of foreign nationals with resident status, they are more often caught up in incidents and become victims than perpetrators.

 

Most of the troubles involving foreigners that are reported in the news involve foreigners who have lost their residence status and are staying in the country illegally.

 

If you fail in your job search and lose your job, you also lose your residency status. Eventually, you are forced to leave the company dormitory and lose your home, and your income stops. As a result, you end up spending the money you could have spent on a return ticket, and you are arrested for engaging in theft, robbery, burglary, fraud, drug use, driving without a license, etc., for financial gain.

 

Foreign nationals who have lost their residency status will approach foreign nationals who do have residency status and ask them to buy stolen or smuggled goods at a low price, or ask them to lend them money, or ask them to let them stay in their room, etc.

 

Both Japanese and foreigners share the same desire to avoid being involved in incidents and accidents. Maintaining regular communication and providing support and supervision to prevent the expiration of their residency status will be a major factor in reducing the number of illegal immigrants and foreign criminals.
