It is often referred to as a VISA, but foreigners have two types of qualifications: a passport and a residence card. What is generally called a VISA is a visa, which refers to a passport that can confirm departure permission and entry and exit history. Residence status refers to the reason or qualification for staying in Japan, and the residence card is what proves residence status.

1. The name field should be your real name with your nationality, not your nickname. Then, your date of birth, gender, nationality, and place of residence (address) in Japan are listed.
2. The residence status column lists the status of residence that has been applied from 29 types. The column to the right of that lists "whether or not you are working." International students are not allowed to work, but they are allowed to work part-time to the extent that they can cover their living expenses .
3. The period of stay (expiration date) indicates that you can stay in Japan with this status for up to x years and x months from the date the residence card is issued .
4. The permission date is the date on which your residence status was approved, and the issue date is the date on which your residence card was issued .
5. The bottom row shows the expiration date of your currently granted residence status.
As a supplementary note, I'll explain one common mistake: when renewing your residence status, some people apply right before the expiration date, but the application documents include tax-related documents and other documents in the forms specified by the immigration bureau, and the residence status review is an individual process that takes a considerable amount of time, lasting from two to six months, so applying right before the expiration date will not be enough. If you miss the deadline, you will have to return to your home country, so please make sure to prepare the documents and apply for renewal two to three months before the expiration date.
